This August Accrington Market will be making history with extended opening on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August for a bank holiday bash.

Set to include live music, food, a variety of stalls and free children’s crafts, there will be something for everyone.

Cllr Paul Cox, Portfolio holder for Accrington Market said:

“After the recent success of pop-up stalls on Saturday’s we have had feedback people want the opportunity to enjoy the market hall into the evening.

“We are very pleased to announce on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August the market will be open until 7pm with a variety of entertainment and stalls. We hope as many people as possible will join us to support the retailers and outlets who are all small, local, independent businesses.”

Sameena King, Manager at Accrington Market said:

“We have food, sweet treats, handmade items, resin art, woodwork and homewares plus entertainment and free activities for children.

We do still have a handful of stalls available for unique offers, so if you, or someone you know would like to have a go at selling their product on a stall during our bank holiday bash please get in touch asap:

“After an incredibly difficult year I am proud to see our market offering something new for the people of Hyndburn. We need to support our local businesses as much as possible to help our economy recover from the pandemic, shopping at Accrington Market is a great way to do this.”
